After launching
LANGLEYVILLAGE.CO.UK the website
received local attention from the press and
I was asked to speak about my research and
work involved in setting up the website.
Most of my
research was done at the local Langley
library and the one at Slough. The
Slough Museum was also very useful for local
historical literature and maps. (whose
postcards are gratefully used on some of the
pages).
Tony Pilmer the local studies librarian at
Slough Library assisted by sending me links
to a couple of local websites.
I wish to thank Renate Hales who made a
grand contribution to the site before it
went live.
I received encouragement
and help from certain locals and the
newspapers Slough & Langley Observer and the
Slough Express whom I wish to thank for many
of the black and white photographs used.
